Who is Cafe La Morelia

Discover Our Story

Café La Morelia is more than just a brand for our flagship product; it's the culmination of a family tradition spanning over 50 years, dedicated to cultivating coffee in the lush, fertile fields of the Quindío department.

1982 - Our Beginnings

Finca La Morelia, the farm that inspired our name, was purchased in 1982 by Mr. Gilberto Torres and his wife, Cecilia Valencia. It's located in the rural El Caimo district, just 10 minutes from Armenia, Quindío. The dedication to planting, harvesting, and processing quickly led to high standards in selecting the coffee beans. Their three children joined the business, reaping the rewards of their parents' hard work.

Adding Value to Our Product

We've acquired new properties to increase our supply of beans for both the national and international markets.

Today, thanks to the path we've taken, we've decided to add value to our product by creating a specialty coffee that follows the guidelines of certifying bodies and the National Federation of Coffee Growers.

This is how Café La Morelia was born: a gourmet coffee with excellent flavor and a legacy of half a century of tradition. It's 100% natural, Colombian, and from Quindío. Every sip of Café La Morelia represents the journey of a process that brings back the joy of this universal beverage, crafted from the heart of the tropics.
